Catfish Deweys specializes in offering all you can eat dinners not only of USA farm raised catfish, but also all you can eat dinners of large shrimp on Mondays and Tuesdays, BBQ Baby Back Ribs on Wednesdays, Alaskan Snow Crab Legs on Thursdays and Sundays and during stone crab season, fresh Florida stone crab claws every day. Catfish Deweys also features many other fresh selections from the sea.

History

Established in 1984.

Dewey Sr., Shirley and Dewey Jr. (Jimmy) began this family enterprise in June, 1984. Back then, Dewey was the cook, Shirlley the hostess, Jimmy the dishwasher and Cecile was the waitress. You can still find Cecile waitressing today but since the business grew steadily over the last 24 years there will be 7 or 8 more servers on as well as Cecile. Dewey Sr. and Shirley now live in another part of Florida and Dewey jr. (Jimmy) runs the place but the family atmosphere remains a major part of the Catfish Deweys experience.

I was born in Atlanta Georgia and was transplanted to Fort Lauderdale in 1967 when I was age 10. In 1984 my family opened Catfish Deweys, a full service southern style restaurant. Over three decades we have always included family members on our team.We are dedicated to offering the finest seafood available for the best value. Our specialty is farm raised catfish, but our menu is quite diverse. We have a variety of all-you-can-eat specials like shrimp, fresh Florida stone crab, ribs as well as generous traditional portion meals.
