Louie Bossi is not your average chef. "The smell of toasted garlic sizzling in a pan has been around me my whole life. I love to eat and cook! I love the Italian- American food I grew up with in Queens, New York. I taught myself to cook at the age of eight," Louie says. "I had to as my mother was a single parent working three jobs. Now as a father my greatest joy is cooking for my wife and two boys. At Big City Tavern we are inspired everyday by the exciting restaurant business. There's never been a better time to be a chef. The artistry and craft of cooking, and working with the local farm fresh produce, is what I love about being in the kitchen, even after all these years.
