History

Established in 2001.

Santiago Morales comes from a small farming town in Michoacan, Mexico and started El Molino in 2001 after a promising career in construction. El Molino started in Dana Plaza in Concord and after a few years of success, it grew into the space it is in now. The business started with the intention to have fresh authentic tortillas available for those looking for something other than the supermarket brands. Soon the tortillas brought so much attention, the next step had to be opening a restaurant serving the same delicious foods Santiago grew up enjoying. El Molino still proudly serves and makes all its tortillas in house along with its masa products on our menu.
