History

Established in 2010.

The Born From The Lime Truck brand was built on PASSION and a deep, undying love for tacos. Our concept is simple; deliver amazing food, using quality ingredients, while making everything from scratch, and providing memorable experiences from start to finish. Since the brand's inception, Born From The Lime Truck has evolved into an elevated menu, rich in palate-pleasing Mexican-inspired California cuisine. Our food has earned us a bevy of local and national accolades, including winning the Food Network's "The Great Food Truck Race" Season 2 and All-Stars, Yahoo!'s "Top 10 Food Trucks in America", and Thrillist's Best Food Truck in Los Angeles.

Founder Daniel Shemtob, is an award-winning chef, entrepreneur, and media personality. His passion in life is keeping mouths watering with local, organic, and sustainably sourced ingredients, paired with hip, inventive recipes."I was lucky enough to discover my passion for food early in life. I knew at a young age that working with quality ingredients, providing excellent service, and having a blast while doing it was going to be my path. When I landed on the awesome idea of a food truck, it all clicked and not doing it just wasn't an option! I've invested every last bit of blood, sweat, tears, and savings into this company. I'm so proud of what we've built and I can't wait to make your next event super special!"
