The Black Trumpet Bistro specializes in Mediterranean tapas, small plates that bring you flavors from Italy, France, Spain, Greece and Morocco right here to Huntington Beach, CA. We also offer full entrees including traditional French rack of lamb, Moroccan chicken tagine, and a variety of handmade Italian pastas. We also now offer a Full Bar with the Never had tapas before? Start with some of our customer favorites, including our house special risotto, truffle fries, tuna tartare, and Brussels sprouts with chorizo. Pair your meal with a rich wine or our popular house-made sangria, and save room for one of our scratch-made desserts! For a low-key night in an intimate and jazz-inspired atmosphere offering a full bar, we look forward to serving you at The Black Trumpet Bistro.

History

Established in 2013.

The Black Trumpet Bistro was established in Huntington Beach in 2013 by Executive Chef Dino Ferraro. Bringing a rich history of Italian cooking in his background as well as a passion for his craft, Dino brings Mediterranean flavors and creative concepts to The Black Trumpet Bistro, and he looks forward to many wonderful conversations and memorable meals under his roof for years to come.

At age 16, Chef Dino started making pizzas and lasagnas for his family and friends. When neighbors kept coming back for his traditional Italian cuisine, Chef Dino realized he had a special gift. Since that first "restaurant" in his mother's kitchen, Chef Dino has cooked all over the world and settled in Huntington Beach, CA. Once he had his own kitchen, there was no looking back. He had three restaurants at one point, Capone's Italian Cucina, Mona Lisa Cucina, and his newest called The Black Trumpet Bistro Tapas & Wine bar specializing in Mediterranean cuisine and Spanish tapas (small plates), all located in the heart of Huntington Beach, CA. Once Black Trumpet relocated to its larger location in April of 2018, Chef Dino sold Mona Lisa Cucina and decided to focus on the other two locations. Chef Dino hopes to take your palette on a journey to exquisite flavors through his experience and mastery in the kitchen!
