We hope to provide guests with dinning experience that highlights the food, wine, music and dance of Spain in an atmosphere that is warm, welcoming and fun. We encourage our guests to linger over their conversations, to invite their friends, and above all, to feel "bienvenido" each time they visit. At Tapa the World we want to share some traditional Spanish dishes as well as creations from Chef/Owner Marcos Murillo, who blends ingredients from our local farmers to exotic ones from around the world.

History

Established in 1994.

This Sacramento staple is still a date night favorite! In February 2020 the original owners passed the torch of this beloved family owned restaurant to their loyal employee, Executive Chef Marcos Murillo. Chef Marcos has spend over 24yrs working hard at Tapas, moving up from line cook, to sous chef to executive chef and now proud Chef/Owner. We welcome you to come taste the flavors and enjoy the culture of spain, where you can still linger over a bottle spanish wine in our coutyard, enjoy the same favorite dishes - or try something new while listening to live Spanish guitar.

Business Owner

Chef/Owner Marcos Murillo has worked in the kitchen at Tapas for over 23 years. Working his way up from line cook, to sous chef, eventually Executive chef and now as the pround owner of this Midtown establishment. He looks forward to continuing to share his passion for food for another 25yrs!
