Sibby's Cupcakery is a nut-free bakery specializing in custom cupcakes made the old-fashioned way: baked to order, made from scratch, using only the finest ingredients. No substitutes, no shortcuts—with extra smiles on top! We offer complimentary decorations for traditional holidays, birthdays, baby and bridal showers, and graduations. We can also create custom decorations for any theme. Our selection of classic, gluten-free, and flavors of the month, all with our signature decorations, are available for same-day pick up Wednesday through Sunday (first come, first served—sometimes we do sell out)! Call or swing by to check availability. With advance notice, we also deliver to most locations from San Francisco to Sunnyvale.

History

Established in 2004.

Sibby Ross Thomsen founded Sibby's Cupcakery in 2004 with the mission of providing joy and happiness to her customers and community. Since then, Sibby's Cupcakery - called "the cupcake center of the universe" by the San Francisco Bay Guardian - has been featured in numerous local and national publications, including San Francisco, Modern Bride and Lucky magazine, which named it one of the best places for baked goods in Northern California. Sibby's was featured in the Summer 2016 issue of Allergic Living magazine as one of the nation's favorite allergy-friendly eateries. Sibby's Cupcakery is a peanut-free & nut-free bakery and offers Gluten-Free options on their menu. Sibby's Cupcakery specializes in Custom Cupcakes made the old-fashioned way. Sibby Ross Thomsen founded Sibby's Cupcakery in 2004 with the mission of providing joy and happiness to her customers and community.She perfected her cupcake recipes on the side during a 10-year career in advertising. Some of her favorite memories of those days were the mocha-torte lunches she frequently enjoyed with friends, who were often the recipients of her elaborate birthday cake creations.Sibby began her baking career at age 4, making blueberry-peach pies with her mother in Topeka, Kansas. For 13 years, she served on the board of the San Francisco Bakers Dozen, a non-profit organization for Bay Area baking professionals and enthusiasts. She remains an active member.
