Inspired by the countless surf and skate sessions that have taken place on the Newport Beach Peninsula over the years, Sessions offers a simple vibe with a clean, minimalist feel. A collection of vintage surf and skate photography of the area featuring notable photographers as well as the retro black and white films projected on the walls gives this local hangout an inviting and fun feel. Guests are immediately drawn into the food experience through an open kitchen that showcases fresh sandwiches and other tasty bites made-to-order. From the freshly baked bread to the locally grown vegetables and the top-of-the-line meats, Sessions bring gourmet to the simplest, yet perfectly complete meal - the sandwich. Featuring 20 hot and cold sandwiches, housemade sauces with a variety of mouthwatering sides, salads, and soups prepared daily, Sessions is great for grab on-the-go to catch the latest surf, or wind down and dine in while hanging with friends for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Established in 2013.

Sessions West Coast Deli was started in 2013 to fill a void in the So Cal area. The void was sandwiches. People's perception of what is good has always been molded by big corporate business. It became our goal to give people what we think is actually a great sandwich. I hope we succeeded.

While earning his bachelor's degree in communications at California State University Long Beach, Matt Meddock got a taste of entrepreneurship and ventured into creating the Social Group, a successful full-service nightlife marketing business. As his reputation grew, he was in hot demand from top restaurants and lounges in So Cal. One day, Matt decided that he had enough of the flashy night-lights and completely shifted gears by becoming a licensed EMT and eventually a paramedic for LA County. While he enjoys being a civil servant, the hospitality industry has never been far from his heart. As Matt's brainchild, Sessions is inspired by his younger days filled with countless surf and skate sessions with friends always on the hunt for good food to fuel their passion. Today, Matt is bringing his dream to life and sharing good food and good times - this time during the daylight hours. A family man at heart, husband and father of three babies, Matt is becoming a pro diaper changer...
