Rosine's Restaurant turns traditional American comfort food into an art form. This local third generation, family-owned casual dining restaurant has been open for 43+ years. New 'Rosine's Cuisine' cookbook is now available at the restaurant or on the website. The Culcasi family, owners of Rosine's, have received a bit of national fame as it has appeared on Guy Fieri's show "Diners, Drive-ins and Dives". Rosine's offers indoor and outdoor (pet friendly) dining serving breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch, beer wine and signature craft cocktails. Breakfast offers include Eggs Benedicts, Omelets and new items include Avocado Toast, Waffles, Biscuits and Gravy and a variety of other breakfast specialities. As for lunch and dinner, there is a mix of American and Italian dishes. Some of the most popular dishes on the menu include their Hearty Beef Minestrone soup, Chicken Parmesan and Lasagna. Scrumptious sandwiches, fresh salads and burgers, plant based and GF options also available. They are known world wide for their award-winning house made desserts. History

Established in 1980.

Rosine's Restaurant was first opened in 1980 by the Culcasi family in Monterey, CA. The restaurant was an instant success and established a reputation with satisfied customers who enjoy their delicious house made soups, hearty meals and array of award-winning cakes and other special desserts. Now celebrating over 43 successful years in 2023! Honored to be voted 'Best Comfort Food', 'Best Local-Family Owned Restaurant', 'Best Desserts', 'Best in Monterey' + more! Jim Sr and Rosine have since retired although you can still catch them mingling with customers. Their son Jim, his wife Susan and their son John are carrying on the family's tried-and-true traditions. Open daily for breakfast, lunch, dinner and weekend brunch, offering beer, wine and John's special signature craft cocktails.

Rosine's Restaurant was first opened by Jim and Rosine Culcasi and children in the Del Monte Shopping center, Monterey, CA.Jim Sr had his own successful business as a Barber and Rosine was a baker and worked at Eskaton Hospital in Monterey where she created their famous carrot cake recipe.  They relocated to their current location in downtown Monterey in 1986 which they are now celebrating over 43 successful years. Honored to have been featured on 'Diners, Drive-ins and Dives', and consistently voted 'Best Comfort Food', 'Best Family Restaurant', 'Best Desserts', 'Best in Monterey' and more! Jim and Rosine have since retired although you can still catch them making their appearance and mingling with customers. Their son Jim and grandson John, who is now GM are still carrying on the family's tried-and-true traditions.
