RAKITORI stands for a simple combination of Ramen and Yakitori which Owner Chef John wants to be specialized in Japanese Cuisine. Our Ramen stocks are simmering more than 8-10 hours individually and combined together, then simmering one more time. One key point is we don't have a deep fryer. So, all of our food are boiled, steamed,grilled, baked and sauteed. We are comitted to provide healthy and natural food and delightful dining experience to our customer.

History

Established in 2015.

Chef John Kook(Owner) has a wonderful natural flare making Ramen bowls and Yakitori with the highest level of ingredients. Chef John has an extensive background in the Asian Culinary scene dating back to 2006. He decided to open his first restaurant in 2015.

Owner Chef John Kook,has an extensive background in the restaurant industry since He was 16 at McDonald's in Korea. After 3years with hard working, he promoted to a manager. While working, he earned a culinary art degree. Then, he came to San Diego as for internship at Harrah's Casino in 2007. After that, he worked as a manager and Sushi Chef at several restaurants in San Diego.He specializes in both front and back of the house. He's working hard to provide wonderful customer service and great food at his first restaurant.
