About the Business

Specialties

Oren's Hummus serves authentic Israeli, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern cuisine in the heart of downtown Palo Alto. Ingredients such as garbanzos, tahini, spices, olives, and coffee are imported directly from Israel for all of our homemade recipes and we are open for lunch and dinner 7 days a week. Oren's Hummus specializes in delicious hummus dishes and freshly made pita bread but our menu offerings range from skewers to salads, Israeli favorites, pita sandwiches, and homemade desserts. We also offer beverages such as wine, beer, coffee and our signature homemade lemonade with mint leaves. You may also order Oren's online for pick-up on our website. Oren's Hummus is the perfect catering option for your office lunches, family gatherings and events of any kind. Our catering menu can be viewed on our website and you may order by phone or email.

History

Established in 2011.

Oren Dobronsky, a technologist with 4 successful start-ups under his belt was drawn to the Silicon Valley, the epicenter of today's technology innovations. Life in the valley was good, but one thing was missing: a big plate of creamy Hummus like back home in Tel Aviv, with fresh Pita & Mediterranean salads. A true entrepreneur, Oren decided to take matters into his own hands. With the help of his wife Nancy, an experienced restaurateur, the couple opened Oren's Hummus an authentic Israeli restaurant. Open late with a vibrant atmosphere Oren's Hummus brings together Hummus lovers from all over the bay area. Located on busy University Avenue the restaurant quickly became a huge success bringing the flavors of tasty, fresh, and healthy Israeli food to the Silicon Valley.
