OBO' Italian Table and Bar is the newest Selland Family Restaurant, drawing inspiration from the simple, nourishing flavors and seasonal cooking traditions of rustic Italy. At OBO' we hand prepare artisan comfort food to feed the soul. Featuring an extensive menu for dine in or take out all day as well as a full bar, patio seating, grab and go, and catering, OBO' is open all day with something for everyone. Our menus showcase a wide array of Italian-inspired dishes, from house roasted meats to seasonal vegetables and fresh salads, as well as wood oven fired pizzas, hot and cold sandwiches, hand made pastas and house made desserts.

History

Established in 2016.

OBO' Italian Table and Bar is the newest hit from Selland Family Restaurants, a family owned Sacramento restaurant group offering the best in hospitality and quality farm-to-fork dining for over 30 years. OBO' is named for Chef/Owners Randall Selland and Nancy Zimmer's grandson Owen, whose nickname is Obo. OBO' is located in a historic, handsome brick building conveniently located in East Sacramento and in close proximity to Midtown.

Chef Randall Selland also owns Sacramento landmarks The Kitchen Restaurant, Ella Dining Room and Bar, OBO' Italian Table & Bar and Selland's Market Cafe. Selland is considered Sacramento's Father of Farm-to-Fork and has been at the helm of the movement in the region since the start of his career. Maintaining a larger role in the Sacramento community, Selland has been successful in lobbying local and state legislators on the benefits of locally grown organic food and sustainability. In 2008, he received an award from the non-profit Pesticide Watch for being instrumental in overturning the law that made it illegal for restaurants to shop farmer's markets in California. In 2015, Selland received the Clean Air Award from Breathe California in the 'Leadership Category' for the 'Zero Waste' pilot program at his restaurants. He remains an advocate and supporter of food literacy for children and sustainability in the restaurant industry.
