We're on a mission to bring people together through the power of coffee and tea. Our South Bay-based coffee company is joyful, colorful, and community-driven with coffee shops in Downtown San Jose and Cupertino, and a Roastery in North San Jose. We opened our first shop in September 2020. Since then, we've enjoyed building happy places with customers and artists that are accessible and inclusive for all. Not only do we serve high-quality coffee, we also deliver joyful experiences, both in our shops and at events, hosting open mics every week in DTSJ (Nirvana Soul After Dark), small business pop-ups, and a rotating gallery of local artwork. If you're looking for a place to meet friends, get some work done, or just vibe over an excellent cup of coffee or tea and an awesome playlist, come over! We have fresh-made waffles (chorizo con queso, bacon cheddar, churro, chocolate chip, and golden) to eat, as well as pastries delivered each morning from The French Spot. We'll see you soon!

History

Established in 2020.

Nirvana Soul began as a dream nearly 20 years ago when our co-founder and CEO Jeronica got her start in the coffee industry. Ten years prior to opening, Jeronica landed on the name by combining "Nirvana", a word that meant *a perfect place* with "Soul", which not only celebrated the music she loved, but just felt right. Towards the end of 2018, Jeronica combined forces with her sister and co-founder Be'Anka to finally make her dream a reality. The two began their journey together with a vision board, a Google search, and a pitch party for friends and family. (The full story can be found on our website blog.) Step-by-step, the sisters pieced together a business that became so much more than coffee; it became a community and a home – exactly what they wanted for their own hometown of San Jose.

Since we were little girls, coffee has held a special, calming place in our hearts.For as long as we can remember, we have dreamed of creating a space that feeds our souls and makes people happy.
