Established in 1995.

Originally opening in 1995 within San Diego's first mortuary, the Museum relocated to Hollywood in 2000 where it has resided since. The newest location is 6363 Selma Avenue, in the heart of the Vinyl District. A 2nd location was opened in New Orleans -227 Dauphine Street- in March 2015.
