Motto is offering a variety of tea (hot and iced) and fruit drinks ranging from Kyoto Uji Matcha, Japanese Genmai to fresh fruit tea & yogurt. Motto also serves sweet and savory pancakes using the most premium ingredients imported from Japan. Motto’s distinction is that it refuses to use tea powder, corn syrup, creamer in their products. Rather, it uses loose tea leaves, pure cane sugar and organic milk. Pasadena residents can now indulge in tea latte and dessert drinks without feeling too guilty.

History

Established in 2018.

Motto was opened in 2018, however, the concept behind and hard work began in 2016. Motto is a family operated cafe, led by a family of 6 (an engineer, a vet, a tax expert, a sales & marketing exec plus a 5 years old and a cream maltipoo). This team of 6 is extremely passionate about tea, matcha and pancakes to an obsessive level that they decided to open their own cafe. Before the birth of Motto, they travelled around the globe together as well as individually/separately to source the best ingredients and to learn how to make the best tea, matcha and pancakes for almost 2 years. This family sincerely and strongly believe that only the use of natural and organic ingredients can bring out the health benefits and authentic flavor of tea.
