Since 2014, Monster Pho has been serving authentic traditional Vietnamese cuisine to same way MAMA has been making it. This has captivated the taste buds of the locals & visitors alike. On the menu, you will find wide range of dishes, including delicious fresh spring rolls, classic “24hr Beef Bone Broth” Pho, hearty rice plates, savory vermicelli noodles, & popular local favorite pandan leaf coconut waffle.

History

Established in 2014.

Our Oakland childhood and those first early years in Vietnam set the stage for a lifelong love affair with Vietnamese food, especially the bánh mì we gobbled up whenever we visited Saigon. We were always thrilled to introduce people to these mouth-watering dishes -- an evangelist mindset comes naturally when you're blessed with a mom and aunt who are constantly cooking up a storm! So we decided to open a modern joint where old school Saigon flavors reign supreme, there's plenty of great Asian beer and Bay Area wine on hand, and where all sorts of people could walk in the door and know that they belong.

In 1990, my family immigrated from Vietnam to America in purpose of achieving the "American Dream." Despite the hardships my family and I had to deal with trying to readapt to a completely different lifestyle, we enjoyed trying new things and eating many different types of foods. But of course, we always ended the day with a traditional Vietnamese home-cooked meal. We always had a passion for starting our own business in the food industry. So when I noticed the small amount of Vietnamese restaurants that were open, I knew we had to help expand the culture. After many years of working on our dream goal, we finally did it!
