Baronet Braised Oxtail fried rice (sauteed Jasmine white rice, sliced sweet onion and shredded braised oxtail meat pan fried to perfection). Braised Beef Stew (slow cooked boneless beef chuck in a stew of fresh carrots, potatoes, star anise, cloves, fennel, peppercorn and basil).

History

Established in 2016.

Monarch 9 is committed to serve healthy delicious Vietnamese-French cuisine at a reasonable price. Our menu is packed with traditional fresh flavors of ginger, lime, lemongrass, mint, and coriander. All of our dishes are hand crafted the way the Le family has been cooking at home for generations. We want Monarch 9 to be a gathering place for the community. The centerpiece of our restaurant is a 10 foot live edge table that we named the "Community Table". This is where we hope neighbors become friends. Our mission at Monarch 9 is to provide a healthy Vietnamese-French cuisine in a unique environment with friendly yet unintrusive service.

Business Owner

I'm a Vietnamese American. Our family came to the United States in 1975 after South Vietnam was taken by the Communist. I was born in Seattle Washington and moved to Southern California when I was 3. Although my parents love this country they raised me to never forget my roots. Cooking and preparing authentic tradional Vietnamese food was a way our family honored our ancestors and heritage. Our family still gathers every week at my Grandparents house to enjoy my aunts cooking. We want Monarch 9 to be a gathering place for the community, where families grow closer over dinner and where neighbors become friends.
