History

Established in 2017.

Owned and operated by the husband-and-wife team Mike and Marion, along with their children, Milkbomb Ice Cream was established on June 17, 2017, at 1717 17th St in San Francisco's Potrero Hill. The business successfully expanded to a second location on University Ave in Berkeley in 2019. While plans for a third location in Phoenix, Arizona, initially set for mid-2020, were canceled due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, the company remains committed to maintaining its identity as a family-run and operated business. There are no future plans to franchise, as the intention is to preserve the familial character of the enterprise.

After numerous sleepless nights and countless scoops of ice cream taste-testing, Mike and Marion realized their dream by opening Milkbomb Ice Cream on June 17, 2017, in San Francisco's Potrero Hill neighborhood.Despite facing a few "rocky roads" along the way, these two sweethearts persevered, turning Milkbomb into a thriving venture now managed by the founders and their children.Throughout the years, Milkbomb has cultivated a dedicated following of loyal customers who simply can't get enough of their creamy, artisanal, handcrafted ice cream.We sincerely appreciate your support of our family-operated business!
