We serve a full menu of American style breakfast, lunch and dinner with a kountry flair. We are famous for our fried chicken. We also serve great baby back ribs, USDA Choice steaks and desserts that we bake right here at the restaurant. We are probably best known as THE local place to go for breakfast. We have an awesome kountry fried steak and amazing corned beef hash that we make from scratch. (None of that canned stuff for us!) Our service is always fast and friendly. THe coffee's always hot and we always have some fresh-baked pie and biscuits.

History

Established in 1998.

Kountry Folks originally opened in 1985 as part of the RTM Restaurant Group. The restaurant was later sold, but then reaquired by RTM in 1990. Erin House, the present owner was hired as general manager in August, 1990 and, along with his wife Pat, were blessed to be able to purchase the restaurant from RTM in 1998. Since then, it has been their desire that the restaurant should be a witness and ministry to Jesus Christ along with serving delicious country-style fare and providing excellent customer service. This is a restaurant where, not only can you get a great meal with great service, but you can get prayer and encouragement also.

My name is Erin House and I, along with my wife Pat, own Kountry Folks Homestyle Restaurant.I have been in the restaurant business pretty much my whole life, starting with washing dishes for my grandmother in the hospital kitchen she ran. I worked in the food division at Disneyland while I was in college, (that's where I met Pat) I went to work as a cook for Hof's Hut Restaurants in 1973 and worked my way up to store manager. I managed for them until 1990, when I came to work at Kountry Folks as general manager. In 1998, Pat and I were very blessed to be able to buy the business from the large corporation that owned it, and we have never looked back!We love serving great kountry food and providing great service and also serving and supporting the local La Sierra community.Please ask for me when you visit, I would love to meet you.
