Established in 2016.

From piercing a hole in the dough to let out the steam, to slurping the vinegar from the spoon, we love everything about soup dumplings. We opened up Journey to the Dumpling to share that love with our community, and nothing brings us more joy than seeing our youngest customers experience our favorite food for the first time. Locally owned by three foodies, we're working hard to become the Sacramento area’s best spot to share your journey to the dumpling.

Chris and Yvonne Tan have spent countless hours researching how to achieve the best soup dumpling through tasting the Chinese classic everywhere from the Bay Area to LA, from Shanghai to Hong Kong!  It's truly been a journey and they're proud to be the owners of a local, family-friendly restaurant serving their favorite dishes in their hometown.
