Family Owned Since 1968 Green Acres Market is committed to being the finest full service Butcher Shop in the Ventura County and surrounding areas. Most of our products are all natural, free-range, with absolutely no hormones, antibiotics or preservatives. You will find only the highest quality meats, poultry and fish. Visiting the store is a step back in time, with all the character of an old-fashioned market, but with the upscale, modern twist, and the addition of gourmet items. We are proud to offer our Green Acres Santa Maria Style BBQ, a SoCal BBQ favorite serving the best gourmet barbecue you will ever taste. We grill over 100% mesquite 365 days a year. Our fully covered outdoor patio provides seating for over 80 people, which is heated for the winter season, and equipped with fans and misters for the warm summer days. Burris had the Market until 1968 when Dick Rhoads came into the scene with partners Ken Hoshida and Bob Shaver. At this time, the market was named after a popular television show  called Green Acres. Green Acres was aired from 1965 - 1971. In 1972, Rhoads took over full ownership, which he currently maintains. Dick Rhoads has  remodeled and expanded several times in order to keep up with the thriving business. Green  Acres Market is known today for its long-standing reputation as an old-fashioned market with  personalized service and "Quality without Compromise."
