Downtown Joe's Brewery and Restaurant has been a staple of Napa Valley since the 1990s with a historic brewery dating back to the 1800s. Our focus is on providing customers with delicious food sourced locally and great beer brewed right here by our passionate brew masters. Locals come to our Napa restaurant to have a good time and visitors come to feel like a local. We feature live music almost every night, sports viewings, and holiday parties. History

Established in 1996.

Established in 1993 by owners Joe Ruffino, Joe Peatman and Nancye Peatman, Downtown Joe's has a city of Napa tradition dating back eighty years. Joe Ruffino's Grandmother: Grace Ruffino opened Ruffino's Restaurant in 1944. The family restaurant flourished through three generations until 2004. Prior to opening Ruffino's, Grace was cooking up Italian fare at The Depot Hotel for the Tamborelli family whom opened the Depot in 1927. The Depot survived until 2006. The location of The Depot, Ruffino's, and Downtown Joe's are all within two blocks from each other in Downtown Napa. The Peatmans bought out the Ruffinos in 2004. Maintaining the Old Napa Italian tradition of operating a friendly, down to earth business where all staff are valued and respected and all guests are welcome whether indigenous or migratory to the Napa Valley. Owner Joe Peatman's Great Grandfather came to Napa in the late 1800's from Italy to make wine. The family has lived in the Napa Valley since, boasting five generations.Joe and his wife Nancye opened Downtown Joe's in 1994 after a combined 27 years of restaurant experience. Together they weathered some slow times in downtown Napa. Continuing to adjust menu, service and style to meed the needs of local economics. Today their business future has never looked brighter nestled in the middle of restaurant row on the river in Napa.Joe and his family have aggressively supported the non profit in Napa County serving clubs, committees, schools and kids to make the Napa of tomorrow a better place.
