We specialize in Hawaiian style food and Local Plate Lunches. We serve Lomi Salmon, Fresh Poi flown in from Kauai weekly, and not to mention fresh made Poke.

History

Established in 2009.

We are a young company trying to bring the Local flavors of Hawaii to the OC. We started in our back yard cooking for friends and family and our own personal parties, such as Super Bowl, UFC fights, birthdays, etc. , serving guests ranging from 20 to 100 people. Then we ventured into the catering business, participating in the annual Aloha Expo in Santa Fe Springs, doing fundraisers for the Kama'aina Club of Orange County, weddings, ect .Now we have the opportunity to expand our flavor of Hawaii to the public in hopes that you will try it one day soon. Da Hawaiian Kitchen specializes in traditional Hawaiian food and local style plate lunches. It is common to find plate lunches served from lunch trucks or at hole in the wall restaurants and local drive-ins throughout Hawaii. We hope to bring you an experience filled with Aloha.~

Business Owner

My name is Bobby Ishiki III. I was born on Oahu and raised on the North Shore of Kauai. My inspirations began during my hanabata (childhood) days, helping my Dad prepare food for family luaus. I also receive great inspiration from my mom and her recipes. She is always a phone call away when i need something. I have always had a passion for cooking in hopes of one day having my own restaurant. I came to California when I was 18 years old. I began working in the construction trade for 15years, while learning the culinary arts on my off time. I started my own catering business catering on the weekends cooking for Family and friends. Through word of mouth, and answered prayers I was blessed with an opportunity to open a small kitchen in Huntington Beach.
