History

Established in 1971.

For decades, one of San Diego's favorite Mexican restaurants, Casa de Bandini, was housed in the magnificent historic hacienda of Juan Bandini within the Old Town Stat historic Park. In June, 2005, the eatery, along with Bazaar del Mundo, lost its lease for the property in the Park, much to the disappointment of its faithful clientele. In June 2009, Bandini reopened at The Forum in Carlsbad, bringing with it the same romantic essence of Old Mexic. Known for its traditional Mexican cuisine, award winning seafood specialties and its outdoor patio dining replete with lush gardens and colorful fountains. Worked in the foodservice business over 30 years, primarily for Diane Powers in her Old Town Bazaar Del Mundo restaurant group. Started in Carlsbad as a dishwasher, worked up through the ranks in Old Town San Diego while attending San Diego State University. Our goal is to enjoy good food in a great atmosphere which delights your five senses.  With live Mariachi music in the background, we want your stay to be fun, exciting and delicious.
