The Bounty Hunter Wine Bar & Smokin' BBQ is located in the heart of Downtown Napa. With an astounding lineup of over 400 highly-allocated wines on the shelves available to take home tonight or have shipped home to enjoy later, and 40 wines available by-the-glass, you can scan the 30-page beverage list on any given day to find a snapshot of truly great wines from around the world. Guinness is available on tap along with artisan bottled beers and a hand-picked selection of rare spirits. A full lunch and dinner menu featuring sandwiches and salads, real BBQ and the famous beer can chicken. BBQ is served 'til 12am on weekends.

History

Established in 1994.

Mark Pope began traveling through Napa Valley in 1994, wanting to bring a luxury-with-a-blue-jean-lifestyle approach to fine wine buying. He acquired top wine from elite producers and proceeded to showcase them through his award-winning Bounty Hunter Rare Wine & Provisions Catalog. Today, he mails the catalog to 2.5 million of his closest friends, offering the finest wines, wine-centric provisions and wine clubs. In 1999, Pope began to buy bulk wine to bottle for his catalog, and in 2003 made the switch to producing fine wines of his own. Today, with his winemaker, Timothy Milos, he sources some of Napa Valley's finest grapes. Bounty Hunter currently bottles seventeen brands including the highly-rated Waypoint Vineyard and Justice Series wines. By 2003, Pope had opened an Old West-themed Wine Bar housed in a historic 1880s building on First & Main in the heart of downtown Napa. The Bounty Hunter Wine Bar & Smokin' BBQ has been voted "Best Wine Bar in Napa Valley" five times!
