Santa Barbara's best local ingredients, prepared with care. Excellent wines that reflect the quality and character of our region and work in concert with the cuisine. Warm, inviting ambience with engaging service at a relaxed, leisurely pace. Santa Barbara "Wine Country Cuisine" means we source our ingredients using an "as-fresh-and-as-local-as-possible" approach, with fish from the Santa Barbara Channel and produce from the surrounding countryside. We then take into account how these flavors can be presented in concert with our local wines. I believe you'll taste a difference and see how well they all work together. We believe Santa Barbara is producing some of the finest Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Syrah. Other locally produced varietals will surprise you with their quality, variety and approachability. Please ask your server for recommendations on how any of our multitude of wines by-the-glass match up with your selections.

California's Original bouchon and Santa Barbara's first-ever 'wine country cuisine' restaurant. Featuring over 40 wines by-the-glass from Santa Barbara County. Owner-operator Mitchell Sjerven is passionate about all things Santa Barbara, espcially access to fantastic food and local wines.

A twenty-five year restaurant veteran, Mitchell owns bouchon Santa Barbara, a regional wine country fine dining experience, alongside wife and Co-Owner Amy Sachs.He is a lecturer at Santa Barbara City College's School of Culinary Arts and is an Associate Member of the Santa Barbara County Vintner's Association. He is also board member of Visit Santa Barbara.His enthusiasm for the burgeoning Santa Barbara area wine industry is unparalleled in the local restaurant industry, earning him the unofficial title of 'Ambassador' of Santa Barbara Wine & Food.  Sjerven has lectured on Santa Barbara wine, food and tourism in the UK, Germany, Canada and Australia.Mitchell graduated from the University of California, Santa Barbara with a degree in International Relations, Political Science.  He completed his studies with a year abroad, interning at the European Parliament in 1990.
