History

Established in 2009.

having spent many years on the East Coast enjoying lobster rolls and clam shacks scattered in coastal towns, Jen Morton longed for this food in her town of Santa Monica. She found the perfect quaint space on Ocean Ave, with a view of the sunset over the Pacific and transformed it into BP Osyterette. It has become a neighborhood staple ever since, drawing locals and tourists alike

Jen Morton attended UCLA and always had a passion for food and cooking. She was one of the original creators of Divine Pasta company in Los Angeles and upon selling it, created the Blue Plate brand, which is Blue Plate Montana, Blue Plate Oysterette and Blue Plate Taco. All are about simple fresh and approachable food and great service in chic casual spaces
