History

Established in 1956.

In 1956, the Casadei family opened the restaurant for their mother Louisa. The restaurant was opened on a dirt road that was north of Davis Monthan Air Force Base, eventually Craycroft became the main road going into the Base. In 1973 Joe Elefante Sr. bought the restaurant with his wife Jean and later that year his son Joe Jr and wife Suzanne came to join them. In 1977 Suzanne's sister, Theresa came to work at the restaurant at the age of 15 and became the Chef in 1998 when Joe Jr. passed away. Through the years all of our children have worked there. We are proud of our employees; many have been with us for years. We feel that the restaurant is an extension of our home and hope that you will enjoy dining with us.

The Elefante Family bought Mama Louisa's Italian Restaurant from the original owners in 1973.  We are now a third generation  family owned business, with the addition of myself and my brother Chef Michael Elefante.
