Good food, good service in a clean, comfortable restaurant with reasonable prices: That's what we're all about at Joe's Diner, where we're sharing fresh, scratch-made American favorites with our Phoenix community. We're best known for our award-winning pancakes and homemade biscuits and gravy, but that's only the beginning. In fact, our menu features an entire selection of breakfast and lunch staples, all made with local ingredients and served with a smile. So next time you're hungry, stop in to see Joe and the rest of the crew. We'll make you feel right at home and treat you to a meal just like Mama made!

History

Established in 2010.

Joan and Joe were inspired to open Joe's Diner after a Spring Break camping trip to the California coast with fifty neighbors. Joe cooked meals inspired from his childhood hunting days for all of the families from the neighborhood. They were so impressed that they convinced Joan and Joe to finally live out their dream of owning their own restaurant. Joe's Diner has been serving scratch cooking, with local ingredients ever since. Joan and Joe moved the Diner to the 7th Avenue Melrose District after outgrowing the original location in an old converted Hot Rod Shop.

Business Owner

Joe and Joan are the owner/operators of Joe's Diner. Joan has grown up in phoenix and worked for over 15 years in restaurant. Joe, a third generation native of Wellton Arizona, graduated from the California Culinary Academy in 1985. He started in his Grandma Dan's Desert Café at age 11 and is knowledgeable in five cuisines. Together they have over 30+ years in the restaurant industry.
