History

Established in 2018.

Ghost Ranch is the fourth restaurant from the Chamberlin Hospitality team, which also opened Tempe Public Market Cafe on the northeast corner of Rural and Warner and Taco Chelo in downtown Phoenix since January 2018. The company also includes Phoenix Public Market Cafe in downtown Phoenix.

Manager

Born in Colombia and raised in Florida, David began his culinary career in Miami, where he fell in love with the diversity and the ever-expanding U.S. food world. In 2009 he moved to Santa Fe, where he studied in a local culinary arts program and immersed himself in the cuisine of the Southwest and the delicious idiosyncrasies of northern New Mexico. He comes to Ghost Ranch after stints at Copa Café in Flagstaff, Mariposa in Sedona, and The Boulders, where he served as sous chef at Palo Verde and chef de cuisine at the Spotted Donkey. He lives in Chandler with his wife, a pastry chef specializing in savage tarts and freak shakes, and his step-daughter, a budding violinist. When he's not cooking ribeye with Argentinian chimichurri, green chile enchiladas, and the perfectly cooked egg, he enjoys hiking, seeking out great hot springs, and foraging for local mushrooms.
