Here at Marcia's, we pride ourselves on our fresh, made to order breakfast and lunch. We are known for our large portions and we make our sausage gravy and all of our soups homemade from the freshest ingredients available. Our coffee is strong, and freshly ground, and we also brew our own unsweetened iced tea. We are a small, family owned and operated restaurant, and we make good service a priority. We do not accept debit or credit cards but we will gladly take a personal check with the proper identification. Because our food is freshly made to order, please understand there might be a wait during the busier times but we do work very hard to get your food out as soon as possible! Early bird specials on weekday mornings and dinner specials every evening. Our full breakfast menu is available all day long.

History

Established in 1988.

The Silver Spoon was first opened in 1988 by Betty Murdock, who purchased the cafe when it came available next door to the Lucky Silver Tavern, which had already been in the family for decades. She turned the cooking and management over to her daughter, Marcia Crelling, who took over ownership in January 1995. She adjusted the name to Marcia's Silver Spoon Cafe, and from there everything has just gotten better. In March of 1997, we received our first review in The News Tribune, and it was followed up with the Golden Fork Award in January 2000. We recieved another review about our Atkins menu, and this brought in a whole other group of diners. We have fantastic customers, vendors, and employees. We donate to several local causes, including Dining Out For Life for the Pierce County AIDS Foundation and Friends of the Holidays. The Cafe is a family run business, and the people who work for us have pretty much been adopted into it. Come and have a bite to eat-you won't leave hungry!
