We make tamales and more tamales! We specialize in a variety of flavors: Meat tamales: chicken in salsa verde and pork in red Chile California sauce. Vegetarian tamales: refried beans with cheese and jalapeƱo with cheese. Vegan tamales: filled with black beans and fajita-style bell peppers and onion.
History
Established in 2015.
For a long time, my family has used an authentic recipe to make tamales for special events like Christmas and New Years. My family later decided to open a diner and tamaleria in Mexico because our tamales became so popular, we had hungry townspeople demanding tamales. Our family diner still exists today in Puerto Vallarta. After moving to the U.S., my partner and I decided to launch our own tamale business and continue our tradition of making the best tamales in town.

My partner and I founded and run Frelard Tamales. A former high school teacher, I also work for one of the area's school districts. My partner is a research scientist working in cancer research. We both love cooking, baking and backpacking (an amazing combination!).
