About the Business

Specialties

At Aslan, our mission is to produce and distribute world-class organic beer using local resources, low-impact practices, and socially equitable initiatives in order to promote a healthier, happier, and more conscious community.

History

Established in 2012.

Aslan Brewing Company started in the basement of a home as a glorified home-brewery in September 2012. Soon after, Aslan moved into a small warehouse space in Downtown Bellingham, where they spent the next year developing recipes and creating a business plan. The dream was to one day build a sustainable, 100% certified organic brewpub in the heart of the city, where the community could gather and share something special. After endless research and 128 unique batches of dank brew in less than 11 months, the Aslan Team was ready for the next step. In September 2013, Aslan began construction on their new home on the corner of Forest and Magnolia in Downtown Bellingham. Our mission is to produce and distribute world-class organic ales, lagers, and soda-pop using local resources, sustainable and low-impact practices, and responsible sales techniques in order to promote a healthier, happier, and more environmentally conscious community. All are welcome!

Business owner information

Jack L.

Business Owner

I was born and raised a Seattleite, but always made a point to call the Pacific Northwest my home. I spent four years as a young adult in Southern California, including a lager-induced five-month stint in Prague, studying economics, entrepreneurship, and the way people think...and why they drink! Lured by green culture and sustainable business, I moved back home, this time to Bellingham, where I met super cool people and found inspiration to craft something special: a sustainably delicious brew that everyone in the community could enjoy and share with one another. I reside in Downtown Bellingham, stoked and ready to help this historic city grow where it is needed, while preserving the weird, of course. I am here because of the weird. Aren't we all!? Drink! Bike! Repeat!

I don't think I could love another restaurant more than filling. The food, friendly staff who are interested in connecting with customers, and fun...
