Tarka opened in south Austin in 2009 to provide a faster, more casual Indian restaurant with quality food & service. We opened Tarka in Round Rock in 2010. Currently, we have locations in Austin, Houston & San Antonio.

We opened Clay Pit Indian Restaurant in Austin in 1998 with a dedication to serving quality Indian cuisine in a sophisticated setting with great wine & beer. Tarka opened in south Austin in 2009 to provide a faster, more casual Indian restaurant with the same quality food & service. We opened Tarka in Round Rock in 2010 and Tarka in North Austin in 2012. Our first location outside of Austin opened in December 2014, in the Stone Oak area of San Antonio. We now have locations in Austin, Houston & San Antonio.
