History

Established in 1978.

In 1978, Pete's Tako House was established by Pete Rios and Dora "Kookie" Rios-Torres. Prior to being Pete's, we began as a Tink-A-Tako in 1977. Alex "Tink" Halsell later sold it to Dora at a very friendly price after helping establish quite a few other restaurants around town, and being a family friend as well. We kept the K in "Tako" in order to honor Tink for giving our family the opportunity to build what many have come to love.

I am the second generation to following my mother's footsteps in providing a welcoming pleasant experience for our customers. We enjoy every one of our customers who come through our doors and we greet them as if they were family. We enjoy providing the kind of service and hospitality they enjoy coming back to after every visit.
