History

Established in 2012.

Danny Liu started making sushi when a fried roll was a novelty. Now it seems that 90% of most sushi menus include fried, cream cheese or mayo as the ingredient. Little Lilly was developed from the idea to reverse that trend and return to the more adventurous nature that is Japanese cuisine. We are constantly developing menu items that take advantage of seasonal and local ingredients with an emphasis on fresh taste & quality.

I am originally from Taiwan and resided in California for a few years to assist my brother in opening a restaurant. After many years of cooking traditional Chinese/Taiwanese food, I decided to improve my skills in Japanese cuisine since Japan has a strong influence in Taiwan. I moved to North Texas over 15 years ago and continued making sushi eventually becoming head chef at Hui Chuan & Sushi Yoko in the Camp Bowie District. Through hard work and dedication to this craft, I have been blessed with the opportunity to elevate the sushi in this area and contribute to the small business community of Fort Worth with my first restaurant, Little Lilly Sushi, named after my granddaughter.
