History

Established in 1990.

Juan DeLeon and his family opened La Margarita restaurant in 1990. Juan was formerly a part of the staff at several Dallas landmarks, including Ewald's and the Zodiac Room. A food lover at heart, he later joined the ever so popular Tex-Mex explosion that began with a local, named Johnny Esparza. Juan ventured out on his own to start La Margarita, offering quality Tex-Mex using fresh ingredients, family recipes and flavor combinations that have kept customers coming back on a regular basis. (Their unique salsa (served warm) and their homemade chips (best in the Metroplex) are a prelude to your dining experience.) In 1995, Gabriel and Adrian, Juan's sons, took over the business after he passed away. They continue the tradition, but have continued to improve and captivate the evolving food enthusiasts with their interpretation of a more modern Mexican meal.
