With our vibrant atmosphere and menu based on authentic but modern Korean recipes, it is no surprise that people are willing to wait in line for over two hours just to get a taste of our All-You-Can-Eat (AYCE) KBBQ experience.
History
Established in 2005.
Gen first started in 2005 in Los Angeles, CA and have gradually expanded to the Phillipines, Hawaii and Texas. There's 2 locations in Dallas, TX (Frisco & Carrolton) and one in Houston (Midtown).

Jim Wang has been in the restaurant industry for over 25 years. Jim first started in many franchise concepts and owned several Japanese Steakhouses over the years. Jim currently own and operate several Jinya Ramen Bar locations across Houston and Dallas and in 2019, opened the first Gen Korean BBQ House in Houston with his partner David Kim, who is the CEO of Gen.
