Established in 1994.
Since its origin, Common Grounds has been committed to providing an unparalleled experience to the city of Waco. Common Grounds exists to serve a unique, communal environment within the context of a high-quality coffee experience.
What began in the mind of Baylor grad and founder Jill Mashburn as a desire to provide students with a communal hang-out space has developed into one of the most unique coffee shop concepts in the market.
Now under the ownership of Blake and Kimberly Batson, CG continues to provide quality coffee and a special atmosphere to Wacoans, alumni, and visitors. Those who know and love CG consider it to be a home away from home. With sold out live shows, exciting events, and daily entertainment, Common Grounds Waco is much more than just an average coffee shop.
