Austin's Only All Organic dining room serving balanced vegan meals in a very relaxed ambiance. The meal includes drinks (filtered water, Hibiscus Mint tea or Hot Kukicha tea), soup, salad, a vegetable entree, dark leafy greens, grains, beans, fermented vegetables (i.e.: Sauerkraut or Kim Chi).
One price includes tax and no tipping.
History
Established in 1991.
Casa de Luz began as a dinner club at another location. Casa de Luz moved into an abandoned Meat Packing facility on the shores of Townlake (now Lady Bird Lake) in 1991. The huge meat scale is still found in the front door of the school, and rails to slide the meat are in the classrooms.
