About the Business
Specialties
East Nashville is the ever-trending neighborhood known for cool brew houses, gourmet restaurants and contemporary boutiques. No novel eatery speaks to this unique food culture like Two Ten Jack. The hip joint is Japanese noodle house meets gastro-pub. Inspired by southern ingredients, Two Ten Jack gracefully marries local flavors with Japanese techniques. From yakitori (skewers) to ramen and sushi, this menu features exciting interpretations of traditional Asian comfort food. Their draft beer list has fantastic domestic selections and Asian imports, and their reserve cocktails, infused with bitters and herbs, are designed to be savored slowly. Adventurous yet satisfying, the cuisine at Two Ten Jack is artfully composed and undeniably delicious.

I became passionate about Japanese cuisine several years ago, and embarked on a journey to create the perfect neighborhood Japanese restaurant. After traveling to Japan to experience the culture and cuisine firsthand, I worked with talented sushi chefs to open Zumi in Hillsboro Village in 2009. I wanted to explore the social, unrestrained side of Japanese culture that is often exhibited at izakaya, or neighborhood pubs. In these casual establishments, friends and coworkers gather over drinks, small plates and ramen (in that order) to celebrate and commiserate at the end of the day. After three years of research, we opened Two Ten Jack izakaya + ramen house in January of 2014 and have been overwhelmed with how excited Nashville has been to participate in the izakaya tradition.
