About the Business

Specialties

The Listening Room Cafe has become known as the best sounding room in Nashville with nightly music by the best singer/songwriters in Nashville! On a nightly basis you can see shows ranging from newer songwriters to #1 hit writers to major label artists doing surprise shows. The food is also not like any other venue in town. We wanted to be known as the best music venue, offering that perfect sound and experience, but with that experience comes great food. Owner, Chris Blair, has teamed up with a great Chef and management team to bring you quality food at a great price with excellent service. Stop by for lunch, happy "day", or dinner and a show soon. We look forward to serving you soon.

History

Established in 2006.

The Listening Room Cafe started in Franklin, TN in 2006. Owner Chris Blair moved the business to downtown Nashville's historic Cummins Station in 2008, where it continued to grow and host some incredible writers and artists such as Jamey Johnson, Rivers Rutherford, Trace Adkins, and more. In February of 2013, Blair moved his business to an even larger location in downtown Nashville where it lives today. Our new location has hosted top artists like Charles Kelley of Lady A, Jake Owen and James Otto to some of the best writers in the world. It's new open layout is also a great event space and has hosted party's for The Grammy's and several other events. The menu is also something to enjoy, where they smoke all of their own meats and are known for their Smoked Pork Steaks and locally grown Sweet & Spicy Pickles. You truly have to hear and taste it to get the true experience, so we invite you to come in, enjoy one of our drink creations and LISTEN!

Meet the Business Owner

Business owner information

Chris B.

Business Owner

Chris Blair has always had a passion for music.  He started singing at the age of six, and shortly after that was touring all over the US.  In the late 90's, he landed an independent country music deal and released three songs to radio.  All three songs ran up the charts to give him three #1 hits in a row, and in 1999 he was awarded Best New Male Vocalist and the New Horizon Award by the Indy Tracker Awards.  During this time as an artist, Chris began writing and that sparked a new passion for the music business that he couldn't resist.  After playing many songwriting venues in Nashville, Chris began to feel like there was a need for a new music venue in town that would have incredible sound, great food, excellent service and a "classy comfort" feeling like you were sitting at home in your family room listening to music.  He had not found a venue like this in Nashville, so his journey began and he opened the doors of The Listening Room Cafe!
