In the South, social hour revolves around our food and our drink. The GRAYS On Main menu concept encourages guests to carry on this tradition by passing the plate--or the pitcher--through our shared dishes and spirits. Eclectic, yet traditional, GRAYS menu reflects the best of the South in food, and focuses on locally sourced ingredients. Because the GRAY'S menu is ingredient-driven, offerings change seasonally. The culinary team purposefully picks a majority of locally grown ingredients, so that their knowledge can help each dish's unique flavor thrive. We have a handcrafted bar menu unlike anything in the country, reflecting not only the restaurant's original roots, but also the drink culture of the late 19th century. Influenced by "The Golden Age of the American Cocktail," the bar program follows the marks of that period: one full of creation, experimentation and vigor, with a focus on brandy-inspired libations. GRAYS On Main is adding to downtown Franklin, TN's existing repertoire that makes it one of the most talked about and charming downtowns in the South. At the core of our mission lies a desire to honor the heritage of Tennessee's culture, through its spirits, flavors and sounds.

History

Established in 2013.

Set in a ca. 1876 Victorian building in Historic Downtown Franklin, Tenn., the Gray Drug Co. was a landmark pharmacy here for nearly a century. In 2013, after careful restoration, the three-story GRAY'S on Main was unveiled, honoring Tennessee's cultural heritage through fresh spirits, flavors and sounds. Eclectic, yet traditional, Gray's menu reflects the best of the South in food, and focuses on locally sourced ingredients. The second floor bar and music hall features hand-crafted cocktails that celebrate the brandy culture of the late 19th century, along with live performances from Music City's finest. The third story holds a casual yet elegant space for our supper club members.
