Char Restaurant offers modern Southern cuisine in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our specialties include USDA Prime and Choice cuts of beef and lamb, along with seafood and shellfish roasted to perfection. We offer weekday lunch specials and weekend brunch as well as live piano music in the bar area six nights a week. Located in the heart of Memphis, TN, reservations and private dining rooms are available for special events. Or, if you prefer to host your event at your venue of choice, we'll bring fine dining to you! Char offers delivery and catering options for groups of six or more.

History

Established in 2016.

Char was the second concept in the 4Top Hospitality family of restaurants, first opening its doors in Jackson, MS in 2001. After becoming a successful staple of the local dining scene in Mississippi, Char expanded to Tennessee and Alabama with additional locations in Memphis, Nashville and Huntsville. Our Memphis restaurant is located in the University District and opened in 2016. Our company, 4Top Hospitality, is based out of Nashville and owns and operates all 4 Char locations in addition to casual neighborhood Italian restaurants, chef-driven hotspots, a casual eatery & market, and an award-winning seafood restaurant, all located across the Southeast.
