The George specializes in Coastal Cuisine, featuring the freshest seafood including local selections, amazing pasta dishes and superb steaks! We offer an amazing view of the Cape Fear River and USS North Carolina WWII battleship. We are the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion or just while having a stroll along the beautiful Wilmington Riverwalk.
History
Established in 2004.
Founded by Riverwalk Associates Inc., The George started as a family-operated business offering an exotic menu and Caribbean theme in food and atmosphere. Through the years, many changes have occurred. Most recently, in October 2010, a new General Manager and Executive Chef were brought on to begin a revision of this excellent restaurant by the river. Now we can safely say we have the best food on the river and the most excellent staff to prepare and serve it.
