Merritt's Store and Grill was founded in 1929 as an Esso Station. Since then, we have evolved to be a destination for our World Famous BLT's. While the BLT's are what bring people in the door, we also have a wide selection of sandwiches on our menu. We take pride in making our own Chicken Salad, Egg Salad, Pimento Cheese, and many other items in house from the freshest ingredients. We also have a wide array of housemade sides and desserts that change seasonally and are enjoyed by all. Stop in and see us some time!

History
Established in 1929.
Merritt's Store and Grill was originally an Esso Station when it first opened. The Merritt Family kept control of the location until the early '90's when Robert and Robin Britt took control and converted the gas station into a convenience store. Mr. Britt set out to making BLT's, but not just any BLT's, the best BLTs around. The store quickly became famous for their signature sandwich and since then the Britts have expanded the role of the kitchen and turned Merritt's Store and Grill into a destination for great food and great conversation.
