History

Established in 1982.

Luigi's first opened in the early 1950's in downtown Fayetteville and then reopened in 1982 at the current location on McPherson Church Road. The restaurant has had many expansions, a complete renovation in 1999 and several additions over the years to include private dining rooms, a spacious bar and lounge and a quaint patio with fireplace. Although the restaurant has had many changes, our food and homemade recipes are the same as the orginal.

Nick's father, the late Pete Parrous, started the original Luigi's in 1950 and then re-opened Luigi's in 1982 at the current location. As a restaurant innovator and activists, Mr. Pete owned and operated over a dozen restaurants in the Fayetteville area. Nick, his sister Linda, and brother-in-law Tony owned and operated Luigi's since taking over the business after the tragic death of his father, Pete, in 1993. Tony retired in 2020, and the next generation of family has stepped in with Tony’s daughter, Lia and son-in-law, Nate.  The Luigi’s team brings many years of experience in food, wine and customer service.
