Back in the mid-1800's, Charlotte's transportation was changed forever when its first railroad line was built, connecting it to Columbia and Charleston, South Carolina. The links and pins that held these railcars together are what changed our historic city for the better, and we honor that history with our gastropub. History

Established in 2019.

South End was home to Charlotte's first railroad line in the mid-1800's, connecting us to Columbia and Charleston, SC. 'Link & Pin' is an old railroad term. A 'LINK' was installed on one railcar then, as the two railcars were joined, a 'PIN' was manually inserted into the other railcar's link, holding the two railcars together. Since we are in historic South End and on a light rail stop, we felt the name Link & Pin was a good fit.
