About the Business
Specialties
We hand-patty 100% USDA ground chuck every day for our burgers and hand-cut our own fries. We make homemade sweet potato chips. We make our sauces, dressings, and chili from scratch. We offer a ton of fresh toppings from the usual stuff to homemade pimiento cheese, baby spinach, and freshly cut avocado. We also offer chicken sandwiches, hand-breaded chicken tenderloins, made-to-order salads, and vegetarian burgers.
History
Established in 2011.
My brother Scott and I started Come Back Shack in Boone, NC in 2011. After twenty years as successful franchisees in a regional restaurant chain, we decided it was time to create a new LOCAL restaurant experience that focuses on quality, fresh ingredients in a casual, fun atmosphere. We go to the extra effort to serve the best, tastiest, freshest food to our guests because we know you care about what you eat. Its the kind of food we love, and we enjoy fixing for others. We look forward to seeing you there!

Originally from Mississippi, I attended Ole Miss and Ringling School of Art & Design before moving to Boone in 1992. Most days, you can find me at the Come Back Shack working in the kitchen. My wife Janie and my two daughters work here as well. When I'm not working at Come Back Shack, I enjoy painting, hunting, and watching NASCAR!
