History

Established in 2009.

Angelo Kaltsounis, Stratos Lambos and Frank Kaltsounis are first generation Greek-American brothers and friends following in the family footsteps. They were inspired by each of their father's hard work and dedication to become successful restaurateurs. Gaining experience by attending culinary schools and working all aspects of renowned restaurants in New York, Atlanta, and Charlotte fueled their own love for the food industry.  They envisioned to open a destination for families to come, congregate, and truly enjoy each others company over a delicious meal and freshly baked goods. A diner that would be a fun, laid back environment with an art-deco design, that captured the 70's unique contemporary look and feel. They fulfilled that vision by opening the Big View Diner and Bakery in May of 2009. With the help of Angelo and Frank's father, whom twice a week hand picks fresh produce from the local farmers markets; they are able to offer a unique interpretation on the typical diner menu.
